Top To Bottom is a clothing store at 2717 Lancaster Dr NE in Salem, Oregon. We have kept the doors open seven days a week for years, and the shop you are reading about is a real one: a floor, a fitting room, and someone behind the counter who has handled every dress on the rail.
This site is that same floor, online. We sell dresses and only dresses — maxi, midi and mini — and we buy them the way a small shop has to buy, style by style, because a rail that tries to carry everything ends up carrying nothing anyone wants.
How we choose what goes on the rail
A dress earns its place here if it answers a real question. Something to wear to a wedding you were invited to in March. Something for a party in December that is not the same dress as last December. Something for an ordinary Saturday that still looks like a decision. If a style does not answer one of those, we leave it with the supplier.
We describe what we actually know about each dress: its length, its neckline, how it fastens, what it is cut from, and whether it is lined. Where we do not know something, we do not fill the gap with a guess. If you need a detail we have not published, ask us and we will look at the dress.
Coming to see us
The shop is open Monday to Sunday, 10 AM to 9 PM. You are welcome to try on anything you have seen here, and you are welcome to walk in with no idea what you are looking for — that is most of a Saturday for us.
