Celestine Draped Mini Dress - Navy
The Celestine is not symmetrical, and once you notice why, it is hard to see it any other way. One shoulder is padded and the other is not, which tilts the whole line of the dress very slightly and reads as deliberate rather than as an error. From that shoulder the fabric is gathered into a ruched detail and drawn into an elongated drape down the body. The neckline is high and the sleeves are short. An invisible zip closes at the side with a hook and eye clasp, and the dress is lined. An asymmetric drape does not want competition, so keep everything else plain and let one side of the dress be the feature. Navy at this length is the sensible sibling of black — the same job, slightly softer. A heel, a small bag, an earring on the undraped side. Dinner, drinks, a night that does not need explaining.
